Soaking is not a new concept; we are only rediscovering what scripture has invited us to do.
Some may call it waiting on the Lord; others call it soaking in the presence of the Lord.
A part definition of soaking is; wet thoroughly, drench or lie steep in liquid.
James 4: v 8 "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
Mathew 11: v 28 "Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Acts 1: v 4, Jesus commanded His disciples to wait for the promise of the Father.
And results were phenomenal.
In soaking we are learning to open our hearts to experience the Father's love, experience the joy of sin forgiven, inner healing, revelations of God, and become familiar to the Father's voice.
Psalm 23: v 2-3
Isaiah 40: v 31
To soak in God's presence is to rest in His Love, rather than strife, spending time to be saturated with His glory, it's being changed into His image and that glory to emanate through us.
Psalm 46: v 10a
It's becoming a listener and not just a talker,
It's the impressions that He downloads into our spirit,
It's opening one's heart to receive visions and dreams,
It's simply just sitting down and saying, "Come Holy Spirit."
It's in order for us to be filled "to the measure of the stature of the
fullness of Christ"
It's not about what we do; it is about what He does in and through us.
When we move the heart of God, we move the hand of God.
There is no time limit in soaking, intimacy and communion is what matters.
Let's never under estimate the potential of one encounter or word with the Lord.
